Nuno Duarte Gil Mendes Bettencourt, meglio conosciuto come Nuno Bettencourt, è un chitarrista portoghese naturalizzato statunitense nato a Ponta Delgada, nelle Azzorre, il 18 settembre 1967. Noto per le sue tecniche virtuosistiche e la sua personalità carismatica sul palco, Bettencourt ha raggiunto fama internazionale come membro fondatore della band rock Extreme, con cui ha pubblicato album di successo come "Pornograffiti" (1989) e "Extreme II: The Second Coming" (1990).
