Biografia

Die Goo Goo Dolls sind eine amerikanische Rockband, die 1986 in Buffalo, New York gegründet wurde. Die Band besteht aus John Rzeznik (Gesang, Gitarre), Robby Takac (Bass, Backing Vocals) und Mike Malinin (Schlagzeug). Sie erlangten internationale Bekanntheit mit dem Song "Iris", der Soundtrack zum Film City of Angels (1998) war. Der Song dominierte die Musikcharts weltweit und festigte das Image der Goo Goo Dolls als eine der beliebtesten Rockbands der 1990er Jahre. Ihr Musikstil zeichnet sich durch eingängige Melodien, nachdenkliche Texte und einen Mix aus Pop-Rock und Alternative-Elementen aus.
