Catherine Wheel è stata una band britannica di rock alternativo formatasi a Great Yarmouth, in Inghilterra, nel 1990. Attiva fino al 2000, la band ha vissuto periodi di successo commerciale variabile e si è esibita in numerosi tour lunghi. Il loro sound era caratterizzato da riff pesanti, melodie orecchiabili e testi introspettivi, influenzati dal grunge americano e dalla tradizione del rock britannico. Tra i brani più noti figurano "Chrome", "Black Maria" e "C'mon The Revolution". Catherine Wheel ha pubblicato quattro album in studio: "Ferment", "Happy Days", "The 3rd Sense" e "Wishbone", quest'ultimo considerato il loro lavoro più maturo. La band si è sciolta nel 2000, ma i suoi membri hanno continuato a collaborare in progetti musicali indipendenti.
