The Frames is an Irish band led by singer-songwriter Glen Hansard, who is also known for his 1991 appearance as Outspan Foster in the film The Commitments. By the time he appeared in the film the band had already assembled, though their debut album, Another Love Song did not surface until later that year. Throughout their nine album career the band has sold well in Ireland and more recently they have achieved some fame stateside -- though in the US they are referred to as The Frames DC to avoid confusion with the American band of the same name.
