I Jesus Lizard sono un gruppo noise rock formatosi a Chicago nel 1987. La band, nata dalle ceneri del seminale gruppo texano Scratch Acid, prese il proprio nome dalla comune denominazione in lingua inglese del Basiliscus basiliscus, una lucertola che può correre sull'acqua. Il loro sound è caratterizzato da un mix di hardcore punk, noise rock e post-punk, con testi spesso oscuri e provocatori.
