Agent Sparks è stato un gruppo musicale formato all'inizio del 2005 da due ex componenti di Audiovent che desideravano continuare a fare musica. I membri erano Benjamin Einziger (voce principale, chitarra), Stephanie Eitel (voce principale, tastiera, percussioni), Paul Fried (basso, voce) e George Purviance (batteria, voce). Hanno pubblicato il loro primo EP intitolato *Not So Merry* a settembre 2005. Questo EP include brani come «It's Not My Time», «Choke» e «So Long Darlings». Il 20 giugno 2006 hanno rilasciato il loro primo album in studio, *Red Rover*. Sia l'EP che l'album sono stati prodotti dal fratello di Ben e dal patrigno di Paul, il chitarrista degli Incubus Michael Einziger. La band ha poi fatto tour con gruppi come 30 Seconds to Mars e Veruca Salt. Dopo un tour nazionale per supportare il loro album *Red Rover* con gli Hoobastank, la band si è sciolta, sebbene non sia stata fornita una ragione specifica. Si sospetta che il matrimonio imminente di Stephanie Eitel fosse uno dei motivi.
