Luna è stata una band dream pop/indie rock formatasi nel 1991 dalle ceneri del gruppo Galaxie 500. Il nucleo originario era composto da Dean Wareham (chitarra e voce), Justin Harwood (basso) e Stanley Demeski (batteria). In seguito, la formazione ha visto l'ingresso di Sean Eden (chitarra/voce), Britta Phillips (basso) e Lee Wall (batteria). Nonostante abbiano pubblicato otto album in studio, Luna non ha mai ottenuto un grande successo commerciale, né ha avuto singoli che hanno scalato le classifiche.
