La band ha visto la partecipazione di ex membri di Botch, Nineironspitfire e Kill Sadie (di Minneapolis). Il batterista e produttore Chris Common si è unito dopo la registrazione dell'album d'esordio *Oxeneers or the Lion Sleeps When Its Antelope Go Home*. These Arms Are Snakes hanno condiviso il palco con band come Minus the Bear, Big Business, Mastodon, Cursive, The Blood Brothers, Engine Down, Hot Water Music, Isis, Pelican, Chiodos e Against Me!.
