now we're happy never after.

Skyclad sono una band heavy metal britannica con forti influenze folk nella loro musica. Considerati uno dei pionieri del folk metal, il nome deriva da un termine pagano/wiccan per la nudità rituale, in cui i rituali vengono eseguiti con i partecipanti metaforicamente vestiti solo dal cielo, come segno di uguaglianza. Il nome allude sia alle inclinazioni religiose della band che alle loro convinzioni sociali, come espresse nella canzone "Skyclad" sul loro album d'esordio. Il gruppo ha pubblicato una serie di album tra gli anni '90 e il 2000, combinando elementi di heavy metal con melodie folk tradizionali e testi spesso ispirati alla mitologia e alla storia britannica.
