The Crown ist eine schwedische Death/Thrash-Metal-Band aus Trollhättan. Ursprünglich nannten sie sich Crown of Thorns, mussten aber ihren Namen ändern, da bereits ein anderer Band diesen nutzte. Ihre Musik und Texte sind von Tod, antireligiösen Themen (hauptsächlich gegen den christlichen Glauben) und Rebellion inspiriert. Sie sind bekannt dafür, Death Metal mit Thrash-Einflüssen zu verschmelzen. Die Band löste sich 2004 auf. Danach gründete Lindstrand One Man Army and the Undead Quartet. Tervonen gründete Angel Blake, benannt nach einem Danzig-Song. Er konzentriert sich jetzt auf sein neues Projekt Lady Mourning. Sunesson ist in einer Band namens Engel. Olsfelt ist auch in einer Band namens Stolen Policecar. Die Band reformierte sich im Dezember 2009 mit Jonas Stalhammar von God Macabre als neuem Sänger.
