School of Fish è stata una rock band alternativa formatasi nel 1989 e sciolta nel 1994. I membri principali erano Josh Clayton-Felt e Michael Ward che si esibivano in locali di Los Angeles, California, come duo accompagnati da batteria e basso programmati. La band ha firmato con la Capitol Records nel 1990 e ha pubblicato il suo primo singolo nello stesso anno su vinile a 7 pollici. Il loro album d'esordio omonimo è stato rilasciato a marzo 1991, seguito dal loro primo singolo "Three Strange Days". Nello stesso anno sono apparsi anche su un disco di concerti KROQ chiamato Acoustic Christmas. Il loro secondo album, Human Cannonball, è stato pubblicato nel 1993. L'album non ha venduto molto bene e non è stato così di successo come l'album omonimo. Poco dopo, la band si è sciolta.
