Silverchair è stato un gruppo musicale rock alternativo australiano formatosi a Newcastle nel 1992. Composto da Daniel Johns (voce, chitarra), Chris Joannou (basso) e Ben Gillies (batteria), il gruppo ha raggiunto la fama internazionale con l'album di debutto *Frogstomp* (1995), che ha venduto oltre 3 milioni di copie in Australia.
