Catatonia war eine walisische Alternative Rock Band, die Mitte und Ende der 1990er Jahre in Großbritannien nationale Bekanntheit erlangte. Die Band bestand aus Cerys Matthews als Sängerin, Mark Roberts als Gitarrist, Paul Jones als Bassist (beide jetzt Mitglieder von Y Ffyrc, ehemalige Mitglieder von Sherbet Antlers und Y Cyrff), Owen Powell (der Richter bei 'Wawffactor' ist - ähnlich wie ein walisischer X-Faktor) an der Gitarre und Aled Richards (der jetzt für Amy Wadge Schlagzeug spielt) am Schlagzeug.
