Though they are named after a football team from South Africa, Kaiser Chiefs are an English indie-rock band who achieved huge chart success in the UK in 2005. They were credited by many critics as being a leading band in the so-called Britpop revival, and their catchy singles were often compared to those of early Blur. Kaiser Chiefs' debut album Employment sold around three million copies and was nominated for the Mercury prize.
